As you may know, Miz Lively was being honored at the industry event today (April 21) for her work advocating against child pornography. Despite the numerous questions the journalist could’ve asked Miz Lively about her advocacy work, the reporter asked an impertinent question relating to fashion.

Unsurprisingly, The Shallows actress called out her interviewer as she snapped:

“Are we really doing this? Would you ask a man that?… become more aware, and that we change, and that we build women up. So, you can ask me another question.”

Read the room, man. Thankfully, Blake’s night wasn’t filled with frivolous questions as she was later asked to comment about Donald Trump‘s administration (below).

The mother-of-two was honored alongside several other influential women — including Chelsea Clinton, Jessica Chastain, Gayle King, and numerous others. We wonder if any of these women had to deal with the same dumb question Blake faced???
