A mother and daughter move to a new town and find themselves living next door to a house where a young girl murdered her parents. When the daughter befriends the surviving son, she learns the story is far from over.
House at the End of the Street is a 2012 American horror-thriller film directed by Mark Tonderai and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Elisabeth Shue and Max Thieriot. The film was scheduled to be released in April 2012 but was moved to a September 21, 2012 release. It was mainly filmed in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. A tie-in novelization of the movie was released on August 21, 2012 to accompany the movie by Little, Brown Company.

Oscar-nominee Jennifer Lawrence is now an established household name, thanks to her acclaimed turn as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. However, the actress’ next onscreen appearance will be in a comparatively inexpensive horror/thriller B-movie that was made back when Lawrence was still foremost a well-regarded indie starlet (her supporting role as Mystique in X-Men: First Class aside), titled House at the End of the Street.
The newly-unveiled trailer for House at the End of the Street is constructed somewhat like the film Memento, with events unfolding in reverse order – and certain scenes literally being played backwards. As you may note, though, that’s pretty much the most memorable aspect of the footage on display here.
