The streaming giant is infamously tight-lipped when it comes to their actual numbers, so this little peek behind the red curtain is pretty interesting. But also kind of mind-boggling.
In a first quarter earnings report, the company reveals:
“We continue to be excited by our Sandler relationship and our members continue to be thrilled with his films. Since the launch of The Ridiculous 6, Netflix members have spent more than half a billion hours enjoying the films of Adam Sandler.”
Holy crap. Half a billion hours!
That’s like 350 million full viewings. Hmm, wonder why they didn’t say that. Maybe this way they get to count all the people who turned off The Cobbler after 15 minutes?
The report also gave props to Dave Chappelle, saying his Collection 1 is already their “most viewed comedy special ever.” We wonder if he’ll get a movie deal soon…
