What a relief.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that the former teacher, named Tad Cummins, accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Thomas has been arrested. Thankfully, the Tennessee teen has been safely recovered as well.
According to Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Offices rep Kelly Giordano, Tad’s car was located in Northern California on Wednesday evening. Apparently, the authorities were alerted of his whereabouts after the scandalized teacher was seen asking around for work in the local area.
In case you forgot, the hunt for 15-year-old Elizabeth first started back on March 13 when her parents reported her as missing. It wasn’t long before the 50-year-old educator was fingered as the prime suspect in her disappearance. A warrant was issued for Cummins’ arrest after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation looked into the matter and suggested the teacher may’ve been grooming the young schoolgirl “in an effort to lure and potentially sexually exploit her.”
We’re sure Elizabeth’s loved ones are happy she’s finally been found!
